Tom Nettles retired in 2014, but still serves as Senior Professor of Historical Theology at the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, KY. He has taught in theological education since January of 1976.
Among his writings are Baptists and the Bible co-authored with L Russ Bush, By His Grace and for His Glory (a study of the doctrines of grace in Baptist life), a three volume history of Baptists entitled simply The Baptists and a biography of Charles Spurgeon entitled Living by Revealed Truth: The Life and Pastoral Theology of Charles Haddon Spurgeon.
Tom is married to Margaret and they have three children and 6 grandchildren.
