Doug van Meter moved to South Africa from the USA in 1990 having been sent by his local church in Ohio. By God’s grace he was used to plant Naturena Baptist Church in southwest Johannesburg and after three years he was called as the pastor-teacher of Brackenhurst Baptist Church, Alberton. He has served in this capacity for 22 years. He is a sinner saved by grace and blessed beyond his wildest dreams to be the husband of Jill for 31 years, the father of 5 daughters, a father in law and a grandfather of 3.
In addition to enjoying time with his family and with his local church, he also enjoys reading and running.
